There will be many other attractions and entertainers again this year, with a packed afternoon of fun and music. Royal British Legion Band, a Fairground, Vintage Cars and Motor Bikes, Steel Band, Shooting, Archery, Basingstoke Tappers, Linguatastics, Greyhounds of St Edmunds Re-Enactment group and lots more…. so come and join in the fun and watch the tug of war!
The theme this year is Book Titles, so we hope to see an array of colourful outfits and interesting floats and scenes. As you make your way to the recreation ground look out for all the fantastic scarecrows – which will hopefully be popping up all over the village .. COME ON OLD BASING!!! Let’s make the 16 June 2018 another day to remember … lots of scarecrows, tug of war, colourful, exciting procession entries, and most importantly, you…please come and join in the fun.
CARNIVAL PROCESSION: Route: Leave Linden Avenue at 1.30pm and head to Five Ways, down past the British Legion and past the Crown, onto The Street before going under the Railway Arches and past the Bolton Arms then onto the Recreation Ground – for the fun and games to commence.
